The Swiss ski resort of Gstaad is known for its sophisticated atmosphere and first-class accommodation. However, the Chalet Oberbort, a project by Unica Capital, is set to open in December 2028 and will put every other luxury chalet in Gstaad in the shade. In fact, it will be the largest chalet in the world.

It covers a total area of 7,000 square meters, 1,500 of which are dedicated to the chalet’s own wellness area alone. Guests will find 19 bedrooms with their own bathrooms, plus a separate wing dedicated entirely to entertainment. Here you can retreat to the private cinema, race along the world’s racetracks in the Formula 1 simulator, burn off energy on the dance floor, retreat to the library or have fun bowling. After winning, you can enjoy a cigar. A separate room is also available for this.
Naturally, the design and architecture are based on the surroundings: brushed bronze, reclaimed wood, local stone and natural textiles are the keyboard on which the interior design team plays. The melody reflects the philosophy of Unica Capital: warmth, proportions and depth harmonize with the lighting concept, high-quality art and carefully curated design objects. The result is a retreat that is not only the largest luxury chalet in Gstaad, but also oscillates between transience and permanence.
Wellness at its best
Guests should want for nothing at Chalet Oberbort. That’s why there is also a 1,500 square meter wellness area. It has thermal water pools as well as snow showers, a hammam, sauna and treatment rooms. The pools combine indoors and outdoors with effortless ease. Soothing color concepts make the feeling of relaxation even deeper. In the fitness area, you can work on your strength and stamina.
Chalet Oberbort is located in precisely the area where royals, icons and high-net-worth individuals like to stay. It is one of the most sought-after addresses in the Swiss Alps.
