A cruise is fun, a cruise is beautiful – provided you book the right ship. And the right route. Here we answer your questions about a MS Europa 2 cruise that have reached us via social media. And if you are a cruise professional, you can find out the differences between the MS Europa 2 and other cruise liners here.
Which Route is the Best for me?
That’s difficult to answer. It depends on where you want to go. Cruise newbies should perhaps not go on a world tour or expedition straight away. Maybe you choose a one-week cruise to start with. Of course, the Mediterranean is close at hand.
Which Dresscode has the Europa 2?
In the past, it was actually common on cruise ships for guests to unpack their big gowns, at least in the evenings. Don’t worry, that has changed a lot. It is true that a cruise on the MS Europa 2 is a luxury cruise. There is no special dress code. But that should go without saying: A well-groomed appearance is more fun for everyone involved. And knowing you, you wouldn’t think of going to dinner in a swimming costume anyway, would you? Generally, a casual lifestyle prevails on board the MS Europa 2.
Which Suite is the Best for me?
You can’t really do anything wrong here. Because all cabins – they are called “suites” here – are located outside. That means they all have a sea view and a veranda. Basically, it just depends on how much money you want to spend on the trip. The smallest suites are 28 square metres. Even they offer a lot of space; the walk-in wardrobe and the spacious bathroom are particularly noteworthy. The largest suite is 114 square metres. In the past, it was always said that you should rather stay aboard ship if you get seasick easily. Thanks to the two stabilisers, however, you hardly feel the swell on board, if at all.
Is the MS Europa 2 an Adults Only Ship?
No. There is a very nice Kids Club on board. In addition, highly trained supervisors take care of the age-appropriate activities of the little ones. And that’s for kids as young as two years old. That is quite unique. Top: Children up to the age of 11 travel free of charge in the suite of one or two full-paying accompanying adults. And children from 12 to 15 years pay only 90 euros per night. But those seeking peace and quiet need not worry now. They are also in good hands on board.
Who are the other Guests on the MS Europa 2?
Or as follower Maro asks somewhat less charmingly, “Isn’t cruising just for old people?” No! Quite the opposite. On the MS Europa 2 it’s mainly adults, people who are living life. The age structure is mixed. To be honest, the youngest guests travelling alone are probably around 35. After all, a luxury cruise also involves corresponding costs. And even if the passengers look a little older, most of them are young at heart, adventurous and interested in the world. In general, the atmosphere is relaxed. You can easily strike up a conversation, but you don’t have to. The best way to describe the clientele is probably this: at the pool, no one thinks of reserving a sunbed.
Are Sea Days boring?
No! There are all kinds of things to do. For example, you can take a cooking class at the onboard cooking school. Or you can stroll through the gallery. You can shop in the boutique. Or enjoy the pool deck and spa. There are also a variety of classes in the gym. And, of course, there are many places on board where you can retreat to and simply relax. The Belvedere at the stern, for example, is excellent in this respect. It is a beautifully designed coffee and tea lounge with excellent pastries. With a great view. And lots of wonderful books. Even if we couldn’t (yet?) discover “Vegetarisch mit Speck” there.
Is there Entertainment on Bord?
Yes, and it’s of the highest quality! Live acts perform regularly at Club 2. Cabarets, cabaret and comedy In the “Sansibar” you can enjoy live music and DJ beats until the early hours of the morning. And in the theatre you can admire many varied shows. There are concerts ranging from classical to pop and performances by numerous guest stars. Among other things, there is the talk format “talk2christiansen” on board, in which Sabine Christiansen discusses exciting topics with her guests. Or performances by mental magicians, acrobats and many other exciting acts.
What does a Cruise on the MS Europa 2 cost?
One of the most frequently asked questions about the cruise on the MS Europa 2 is the price. It has to be said that although the ship is casual, it is still a provider from the luxury segment. Depending on which cruise and which suite category you choose, the price will of course change. You can find the current offers here.
