Sin City is not only for gambling fans a destination that absolutely belongs on the bucket list. On the contrary, active people, party people and thrill seekers are also right here. And there are also a lot of hotspots for foodies in Las Vegas! We have tested again.
Crossroads Kitchen: vegan
When you think of a vegan restaurant, the first thing that comes to mind might not be images of steak and calamari fritti. But that’s exactly what they serve at Crossroads. At least visually and in terms of taste. In truth, the dishes that Chef Tal Ronnen creates are pure plant power. There is a calculation behind it. Because he also wants to inspire omnivores – and appeal to them.
The concept is working. The outlet in Las Vegas, actually at the end of the Strip, is already the third. The interior is reminiscent of an expensive fine dining establishment. And the menu actually includes things you think you know. “Is it for sure vegan?” is a question we even asked twice. Our top tip: calamari fritti, made with mushrooms. And the eggplant steak! crossroadslasvegas.com
Saginaw’s Deli: always
Saginaw’s Deli was a chance find. It is located in the mega cool Circa Casino & Resort. You pass it right on the way to the pool (a Vegas legend in its own right!). The self-service restaurant is open around the clock. And that alone is a rarity in Sin City.
Because here also those get food, who would like to have breakfast before 11 o’clock. Dinner is available from 4 p.m. to 6 a.m. The selection is large, and the menu changes a bit depending on the time of day. Really wonderful are the sandwiches, for example. Selena’s Avocado Toast and the Saginaw’s Breakfast Sandwich became our favorites. circalasvegas.com
Pizza Rock: impressive
Near Fremont Street and the Mob Museum, you’ll find the best pizza in Las Vegas. Not only in our opinion. Because just before the place opens, there’s always a line forming. No wonder, after all, the three friends George Karpaty, Tony Gemignani and Trevor Hewitt joined forces. They wanted to create “not your traditional pizzeria“.
They succeeded. The pizza is award-winning, handmade and simply delicious. In the restaurant you can choose between American Pizza and Italian Pizza Style. One of the highlights for foodies in Las Vegas is the Burratina di Margherita. It won first place at the Pizza Championship in Lecce/Italy! pizzarocklasvegas.com
Elia: authentic
Authentic Greek cuisine – if you can get it anywhere outside Hellas, it’s at Elia. The Greek roots of the chefs ensure authenticity: Savvas Georgiadis, Alexandros Gkikas and Keti Haliassos provide their guests with delicacies that transport you to a Greek taverna.
While dipping fried zucchini in tyrokafteri, eating fish baked in salt, having paidkia on your plate or eating spanakopita, you think you are in a typical taverna in Greece. And not in bat land … elialv.com
Barry’s Downtown Prime: delicate
If you want to eat really good steak in Las Vegas, there’s no getting around Barry’s Downtown. Apart from the fantastic service, there’s also a stylish ambience and simply outstanding steaks. Of course, you could also order something else. For example, the wonderful seafood or vegan delicacies. But why should you?
With steak, it’s best to order the Mushrooms & Onions. You’ll never eat better mushrooms again. And also a recommendation is the sautéed spinach. Mmm. We never thought we’d recommend spinach to you, either. barrysdowntownprime.com
