Fatbiking and Ice Skating on a Lake
We know the Carinthian Weissensee for ice skating. Because as soon as it gets cold enough in winter, the lake freezes over. And turns into a 6.5 square kilometer natural ice skating surface. Sleighing Fun
It may go rapidly downhill, but please not on a board? Well, then perhaps the longest illuminated toboggan run in the world is the right thing. Because instead of skis, there are runners. And on them it goes down in Salzburgerland from the Wildkogel at 2,224 meters to Bramberg at 819 meters. Depending on technique and speed, it takes between 30 and 50 minutes. Up it goes with appropriate weather until 16:15 clock, on Fridays also until 18:30 clock. It is floodlit until 10 pm.
If you secretly want to train a little, it’s best to stay at the Wanderhotel Gassner. Because it has its own 1.2-kilometer toboggan run in Neukirchen. Also it is passable until 22 o’clock.
