Around a week after its debut on December 25, 2020, over 68 million households had watched the first season of the series Bridgerton<\/em>. This makes the series about a fictional London high society<\/strong> in the 19th century one of the most successful Netflix<\/em> series of all time. It was a sensational success for producer Shonda Rhimes<\/strong>. Not surprisingly, after all, she was already responsible for hits such as \u201cGrey’s Anatomy\u201d<\/em> and \u201cHow to Get Away with<\/em> Murder\u201d<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n

But still amazing. After all, Bridgerton<\/strong> is a series with the same basic ideas: It follows the love stories of the eight Bridgerton siblings<\/strong>. There is a kind of main focus in every season. It’s not giving too much away to say that it’s always unexpected love in the end. The first part of the third season started on May 16. Bridgerton<\/em> season 3 part 2 will follow on June 13, 2024. Time to take a closer look at the Bridgerton locations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The story – in which numerous unexpected plot twists ensure that it never gets boring<\/strong> – is actually set in a place where London’s<\/a> long-established high society can still be found today. Namely in the district of Mayfair<\/strong>. We love it in the run-up to Christmas for the lavishly decorated shop windows of upmarket boutiques. And the city’s oldest hotel<\/strong>, the luxurious Brown’s Hotel<\/a>, can also be found here. It opened in 1837 and now belongs to Rocco Forte Hotels<\/em>. The Mercato Mayfair<\/strong>, a pretty food hall in a former church, is also here. <\/p>\n\n

It’s always a great experience to stroll through Mayfair. After all, it is one of the most expensive districts<\/strong> in the world. A large part has belonged to the Grosvenor family for more than 300 years. The facades of the houses are correspondingly beautiful. However, anyone looking for Bridgerton filming locations will be disappointed. Despite the great architecture<\/strong> in Mayfair, the film was shot in the former spa town of Bath in the southwest of England.<\/p>\n\n

Bridgerton Afternoon Tea in London<\/h2>\n\n

London’s luxury hotel The Lanesborough<\/a><\/em> has come up with something very special for series fans. A special afternoon tea is served here for a short time in homage to the Regency era.<\/strong> This is inspired by the intrigues and love stories of the Bridgertons<\/em>. Guests can choose to dine in the magnificently decorated dining room<\/strong> under the glazed domed roof during the day or in the evening in the soft light of the chandeliers. <\/p>\n

These include Clarence Court eggs<\/em> with truffle mayonnaise, tender steamed chicken, smoked salmon and wonderful desserts. They have names like Colin’s Travels<\/em>, The Lady Whistledown or The Social Butterfly<\/em>. The Bridgerton Afternoon Tea<\/strong> is also available vegan and gluten-free. It costs \u00a385 per person or \u00a395 with a cocktail or \u00a398 with a glass of champagne.<\/p>\n\n

Where does the Bridgerton family live?<\/h2>\n\n

The Bridgerton family’s home is in the London borough of Greenwich<\/strong>. “Ranger’s House\u201d<\/a><\/em> serves as the fa\u00e7ade. This is a museum near Greenwich Park. It is home to one of the finest private art collections in the whole of Europe. The founder, Julius Wernher<\/strong>, collected more than 700 works. If you book your ticket online in advance, you pay \u00a312.50 – which conveniently includes a donation.<\/p>\n\n

If you would also like to pay a visit to Queen Charlotte<\/strong> (Golda Rosheuvel), you can pay your respects to the Bridgerton Queen at Hampton Court Palace<\/strong> in the far south-west of London. The castle – kept in the Baroque and Tudor style – can actually be visited. It impresses with its magnificent interior and its extremely long and rich history. Tickets cost \u00a327.20. Lancaster House<\/strong> in St. James, London, was used for the interior shots of the palace. Its Grand Hall and state rooms were also seen in \u201cDowntown Abbey\u201d<\/em> and \u201cThe Crown\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n
