Because as soon as it gets cold enough in winter, the lake freezes over. And turns into a 6.5 square kilometer natural ice skating surface. The result is a 25-kilometer-long skating circuit. Whether it&#8217;s around the wintry lake or even up to the Naggler Alm: fun is guaranteed. Twice a week there are even guided tours. The bikes and crash helmets can be rented directly on site. And for the skiers, the Weissensee ski area is not far away either. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weissensee.com\/de\/Winter-World\/Sun-Ski-World\/Skigebiet-Weissensee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Further information<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"sleighing-fun\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sleighing Fun<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It may go rapidly downhill, but please not on a board? Well, then perhaps the longest illuminated toboggan run in the world is the right thing. Because instead of skis, there are runners. And on them it goes down in Salzburgerland from the Wildkogel at 2,224 meters to Bramberg at 819 meters. Depending on technique and speed, it takes between 30 and 50 minutes. Up it goes with appropriate weather until 16:15 clock, on Fridays also until 18:30 clock. Because it has its own 1.2-kilometer toboggan run in Neukirchen. Also it is passable until 22 o&#8217;clock. The corresponding coaster is of course available for rent directly at the hotel.
